A Day at the Ark Encounter: A Journey Through History and Faith
When I first saw the Ark at the Ark Encounter, I was completely speechless. There it stood—massive, towering, and more breathtaking than I could have ever imagined. I knew it was going to be big, but nothing quite prepared me for the sheer scale of it. The Ark was constructed using the actual biblical measurements from the Bible, and walking through it made me feel connected to history in a way I hadn’t experienced before.
Spending the day there with my brother, Austin, and my boyfriend, Connor, made the experience even more meaningful. As Christians, this journey felt special to do together. It wasn’t just a museum visit—it was a chance to explore and reflect on a story that’s at the heart of our faith. To walk through those halls, learning about the flood and Noah’s Ark with them, was something I’ll never forget.
My favorite part of the Ark Encounter had to be the first deck we entered. It truly felt like we were stepping into the Ark itself. The sounds, the structure, the cages—all of it came together in such a way that I could picture what it would have been like for Noah, his family, and the animals. It was a powerful reminder of how much thought and care would have gone into surviving such a journey.
As we walked through the exhibits, I learned so much. I was struck by how the museum reinforced the historical reality of the flood. It wasn’t just a biblical story—it was a real event, with evidence and explanations about how it all could have happened. The museum sparked a deeper interest in me, and I’m eager to learn more about the flood and dive even deeper into scripture.
We spent the whole day at the Ark Encounter, we attended some talks, explored every exhibit, and then had a delicious lunch at the buffet. The food was fantastic, and it was nice to take a break and reflect on what was all around us.
Ultimately, spending the day at the Ark Encounter not only deepened my faith but also fueled my desire to continue learning about the Bible and its stories. It was a day that reminded me of the power of history, the strength of faith, and the importance of staying curious and engaged with what God has to say.
