This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with the Outside Public Art Project, which allowed me to contribute to meaningful public art and further develop my skills as an artist. One highlight was the “Eclipse Mural” at the beach, led by the talented artist Andrew McGill, which brings vibrant color and life to the Lake Champlain shoreline. I also had the pleasure of working again with Giovanina Bucci on a mural for a local elementary school, adding brightness and creativity to the students’ everyday environment.

The photos capture some of the progress and final touches of these murals, reflecting a summer filled with art, collaboration, and community. I’m so grateful to Outside Public Art Project, Andrew, and Giovanina for this experience that helped me grow as an artist.

PAVA

Murals

In my senior year at SUNY Plattsburgh, I was part of an incredible club called PAVA (Plattsburgh Association of Visual Arts). As one of the officers, I helped bring the club back to life, and we had so much fun creating art together. One of my favorite memories was painting four murals on campus—two in the health center and two in Sibley Hall, the education building with a daycare. These murals brought a splash of creativity and joy to spaces that really needed it, and they were such a rewarding team effort. It’s amazing to think that the work we did is still there, adding color and inspiration to the campus!
