“You Matter” Mural

I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the “You Matter” mural project, a powerful public art mural created in partnership with the Clinton County NY Coalition to Prevent Suicide. This mural, which conveys a message of hope and mental health awareness, was unveiled at the Lake City Arts Fest at the end of the summer (2024), where the community gathered to celebrate its completion and the positivity it brings to the area.

Working alongside the amazing lead artist, Giovanina Bucci, and the visionary co-founder of Outside Art, Amy Guglielmo, was an inspiring experience. I’m grateful for their guidance and creativity, which brought this mural to life.

You can see the progression from initial outlines to the vibrant final piece, with its warm sun and message of “You Matter” standing proudly against the colorful backdrop. These photos also highlight the teamwork, joy, and shared purpose we all felt while working on this project.

A big thank you goes to Amy and Giovanina for their vision and leadership, as well as to the Clinton County Coalition and all the volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to make this mural a reality. I’m honored to have been part of such a meaningful project that promotes resilience, mental health, and community support.
