Plattsburgh Association of Visual Arts (PAVA)

The posters above are a striking display of visual artistry that command attention. They serve not just as decoration, but as a medium for storytelling and expression.

The first poster bursts with energy, using sharp angles and dynamic lines that almost leap off the wall. The color palette is aggressive and contrasting, drawing the viewer's eye and inviting them to dive deeper to see what the poster is for. This poster was designed for an Art Auction that was on campus that I was one of the curators for.

The second poster leans towards a more minimalist approach, focusing on strong typography and simple shapes. The use of negative space plays a crucial role here, allowing the message to resonate without distraction.

Lastly, the third poster combines elements from both the bold and minimalist styles, merging intricate details with larger, encompassing shapes. This fusion creates a visual rhythm that captivates and keeps the viewer engaged, encouraging them to linger and explore each section. This was the main PAVA poster that was displayed all over campus for students to join our club. I created the PAVA logo for the 2023 school year as the paint brush with bold colors and a graphic feel.

Together, these posters form an eclectic collection that embodies the essence of modern design—bold, thought-provoking, and unmistakably impactful. Each one stands alone in its uniqueness while contributing to a larger conversation about art's role in our everyday lives alongside PAVA.

I was a member of PAVA, the art club at SUNY Plattsburgh, where I took on dual roles as the poster designer and treasurer. As the poster designer, I created eye-catching visuals that effectively promoted our events and showcased the creativity of our members. As treasurer, I managed the club's finances, ensuring we had the resources needed to support our artistic endeavors and initiatives. This experience allowed me to blend my artistic skills with my organizational abilities, contributing to a vibrant community dedicated to the arts.
